Parents

Our parent community is a vital part of our service to students.  In addition to the constant support our parents offer the faculty and administration, they also assume important leadership roles in curricular as well as extra-curricular activities. All volunteers are current on Safe Parish

Teacher Substitute
Room Parent - assists with teachers with various classroom activities
Used Uniform Sale - assists coordinator with sales a few times a year
Library Volunteer - assists media teacher during K-5 Library periods
Playground Supervisor - can be a paid position; roughly 11:15 am - 1:00 pm
Office Volunteer - assists front office staff on Monday mornings with an occasional extra day throughout the year
 
 
 
Online Grades:  PowerSchool is the platform that allows parents to log online and see their students grades.  PowerSchool
 
 
As part of its ongoing commitment to the protection of children, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis has implemented an online training program called Safe Parish. There is a link on the archindy.org site. Register using Passcode: Archindy2021. All priests deacons, employees and volunteers who have contact with children must complete the training. The course takes about 55 minutes to complete, including a background check and video training. If you are a school family, $7 will be charged to your FACTS account. If you are not a school family, please send a check to the Parish Office for $7 payable to St. Pius X Parish. Event Planning Guidelines & Policies: If you are a parent volunteer or staff member and are planning on chairing a fundraising event at St. Pius X School, please review the Event Planning Guidelines and Policies. You will find step-by-step details, timeline, checklist, contact information, promotion opportunities, facility usage, vendor information, licensing requirements, accounting procedures, etc. The Fundraising Policy applices to all groups sponsored by St. Pius X Parish and exists to ensure that fundraising is equitable to both donors and parish groups, and aligns with the mission of the Church.
