Commission's Scope
The Faith Formation Commission strives to provide the spirit and environment for learning about and growing in our faith, enriching the lives and faith of our community and ourselves. We care about our parishioners' faith journeys and want to offer opportunities to help. We work with the parish to achieve our goals of being more welcoming, reaching out to more people, and helping everyone through their life long faith journey with quality catechesis for all. We need and welcome volunteers to assist us in these efforts.

Rite Of Christian Initiation Of Adults

This process provides a means for adults or children to come into the Catholic Church or to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist (Communion), and Confirmation. Volunteers are needed primarily as sponsors for the candidates, but also as members of a team of welcomers, organizers,
"Pray-ers" and catechists.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF CHILDREN (RCIC):
The Church takes seriously the spiritual development of children. If your child has missed receiving Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist or Confirmation, we will assist in discerning how your child can best be brought into the process of becoming a full member of the Catholic faith.

School Of Religion

The St. Pius X School of Religion helps form the faith of non-parochial school students from age 3 through high school. It teaches the religion curriculum of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, which presents Catholic doctrine within the four-part framework of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (creed, sacraments, Christian living and prayer). The School of Religion enlists dozens of volunteer ministers in areas including catechesis, Christian service, hospitality and communication.
