What
is Scrip?
"Scrip" is a substitute for money. It comes in the form of
gift cards that can be used to purchase products or services which you
already use. Scrip can be used to purchase anything from groceries,
fuel, clothing, toys and cosmetics to entertainment, electronics, home
improvement, or household services. Offering freedom of choice and versatility,
scrip is also a great gift idea for anyone and any occasion. What makes
scrip valuable is, while you use it to buy your favorite products and
services, a portion of the purchase goes toward your tuition!
How
does Scrip work?
We have negotiated and purchased large quantities of discounted gift
cards and gift certificates from some of the most popular merchants
nationwide. Merchants like to participate in scrip programs because
it helps them support their communities effectively and continuously.
It is a win-win for everyone. All you have to do is purchase the cards!
We will split the difference between the face value of the card and
the discounted price with you and the SPX PTO. The PTO uses these funds
for primary school needs, including teacher professional development.

How
do I get started?
Scrip online ordering uses the same site as school lunch. Once logged
in, just click on the "Order Scrip" link. If you need an account

Do
I have to use my portion towards tuition?
No, you can use it towards the 8th grade trip, another family’s
tuition, tuition assistance, or give it to the PTO.
