  1. Scrip will be reported as net profit.

New Business

Checking Account Procedures

New checking account procedures were reviewed at last week’s PTO Committee Chairperson’s Meeting. This is a work in progress and will be tweaked over the next few months with the parish office. We have a good working relationship with the parish office.

Playground Equipment

Tom & Kassie Ritman have purchased slash-resistant swings (due to vandalism on the playground) for approximately $700.00. We have $1000.00 in the budget that includes $200.00 for maintenance and $800.00 for mulch.

Committee Reports:

School Lunch We are off to a good start! Our crews are fully staffed! Our goal is to please 70% of our students. We have made some changes to our entrees to improve the nutritional value of our meals. We are offering water during school lunches and we have 100+ children utilizing it per lunch. We are setting up a purchasing/delivery account with Gordon’s Food Service where we order on line and it is delivered. We are creating a shopping list (paper products, condiments, staples) and we will receive Archdiocesan pricing. We discussed direct billing by vendors. Some vendors will bill the parish directly whereas others want payment when the food is delivered. Last year the parish was investigating having 3-4 credit cards to be used by crew chiefs to purchase large food items. Maureen Allen will follow-up with Sharon Wagner about the credit cards. Kathleen Prechtel
Kitchen Stove

The new stove has been ordered and the estimated time of arrival is 3 weeks. It will have 2 convection ovens and a warmer. We may need to pay a little more for installation due to the stove’s size. The cost of the stove is a little over $9000.00. PTO covered $7000.00 and the parish covered the remaining balance. There was a discussion as to what to do with the old stove. Our choices are to sell, donate or salvage. Maureen Allen plans to follow-up with Sharon Wagner for the parish’s input.

Max Eckert
Scrip Online orders are due Monday by midnight for delivery by Friday. We have Scrip-To-Go the first Friday and weekend of the month. We are looking for new volunteers to take over Scrip next year. Kathy Jorgenson
