PTO Mission

Our Purpose is to support St. Pius X School’s staff and administration by providing resources to enrich the academic, spiritual, physical, social and emotional development of our children.

The organization provides a volunteer network committed to supporting a catholic based education. PTO provides an open forum for discussing and communication of issues and needs relating to school families.

HSO Is Now A PTO!

From its inception, the St. Pius X Home and School Organization had been known as HSO for short. In April 2006, the HSO members present voted to change the name to St. Pius X Parent-Teacher Organization or PTO.

There are many reasons why this was brought to a vote, but the main reason was to more closely identify with our role as parents working with the staff and administration of St. Pius X School by providing resources to enrich the development of our children.

This change was in conjunction with the newly combined constitution and bylaws which were ratified at this same meeting. (See the Bylaws of the Parent -Teacher Organization posted on Edline.) The official name change took effect July 1, 2006.
